LD National Park Planning gives just 30 days for Crummock comments

Plans by United Utilities have been submitted to dramatically alter Crummock, a much loved beauty spot in the Lake District. Despite their application running to 97 documents, those interested in commenting have been given just 30 days to submit their views with the cut off date 30th April 2025.

Parish Council Secretary Mike Milner was quoted as saying “the timescales for response are very short. That is a matter for the LDNPA and not something Buttermere Parish Council has any influence over. It seems … LDNP intends to have a decision made by early July”

Friends of Crummock have contacted the LDNP Chair, Tiffany Hunt (pictured) for an explanation and will publish her response. Update: See our new article. Thank you Tiffany for responding.

Letters of objection have already been submitted to the planners. Friends of Crummock will publish all comments on Crummock, before or after the deadline. Email your comments and concerns to helper@friendsofCrummock.org.

Lake District National Park Head, Tiffany Small.
