Over the last year we have built a catalogue of images of Crummock. Some of them taken recently showing off the magnificent beauty of the area from the UK’s leading wildlife photographers. Some of them from the age that marked the beginning of photography.
Images are important as they show how the shoreline has evolved. It was a particular debate during last years planning application and may be of equal importance as UU bring forward their next application.
Meanwhile we have found the earliest image looking out over the first wooden weir. Note the shoreline without the wave wall and the height of the lake in relation to the shoreline.
